Blue dotted lines show lower title similarity (0.22–below 0.35); orange dashed lines show medium similarity (0.35–below 0.60); green solid lines show higher similarity (0.60–1.00). Scores do not measure research quality. Red, blue and green moving arrows identify selected researchers separately.
Connections use title-keyword similarity, not citation counts, author identity, or reference lists. Titles are lowercased, common research words are removed, selected word variants are normalized, and keyword pairs receive extra weight. TF-IDF cosine similarity identifies overlapping vocabulary.
A pair must share at least two keywords and reach a cosine score of 0.22. Each paper selects up to three highest-scoring qualifying neighbours. Every cross-topic pair meeting the same score and keyword thresholds is also included; a paper may therefore have more than three links. These are heuristic choices, not validated scientific classifications. Open a connection to inspect its shared terms.
Only titles have been compared. Abstracts and full texts have not been reviewed. A shared topic does not prove the same method, a citation, collaboration, or continuation. Scores are retrieval scores, not probabilities or measures of research quality. Topic groups use title keywords; cross-topic links are displayed when “Connect papers across topics” is enabled. Direct connections add adjacent papers from other topics; Full connected network follows every qualifying connection reachable from the selected group.
Similarity connections are undirected. Researcher-colored arrows appear only when tracing a researcher and serve as navigation aids. Papers are arranged from older to newer publication years within each group; undated papers appear in a separate final row. Within each year, verified publication months run from left (earlier) to right (later). Months come from publisher-deposited Crossref publication fields and must match the catalogue year. Records without a verified month appear in a separate row and are not assigned a month. Papers from the same month are not ordered by day. Their position does not establish priority or intellectual descent. Missing connections may reflect wording differences or the selection threshold.
